Overview
Saqqara was the main burial ground of Memphis, Egypt's capital in the age of the pyramids. This tour gives the whole day to it.
At its center stands the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest of Egypt's great stone pyramids. Around it lie tombs of officials whose walls show farming, fishing, crafts and daily life more than 4,000 years ago.
